ABOUT AIA

AN INTERNATIONAL AFFAIR is the NYC-based, husband-wife duo of two award-winning musicians, Taiwanese pianist/composer Sherry Shieh and Russian-American cellist Adrian Daurov. 

With two Taiwan Grammy Awards behind her name, Sherry leads a distinguished career as a concert pianist and composer. Among other celebrities, Sherry has played for Audrey Hepburn, the Duke of Edinburgh, and the Tibetan Rinpoche. She earned her degrees from Indiana University, Boston University, and Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Italy with the world-renowned pedagogues like the piano legends Vladimir Viardo, Antonio Di Bonaventura, and the Oscar-winning film composer Luis Bacalov.

Adrian has performed on stage and recorded in the studio with artists like Alicia Keys, Steven Tyler, Tony Bennett, and Sigur Ros, to name a few. After graduating from Juilliard, he was appointed the Principal Cellist of the Chamber Orchestra of New York and tours as a guest soloist with leading orchestras all around the US and globally. In addition to radio and TV broadcasts on WNYC, WQXR, and NTV-America, Adrian’s cello playing can be heard on popular American TV shows such as Regis and Kelly Live, Good Morning America, Late Show with David Letterman, and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. He performed as a soloist with The Chamber Orchestra of New York at Carnegie Hall and Merkin Hall at Lincoln Center.

Adrian Daurov and Sherry Shieh, a romantic husband-and-wife duo from opposite sides of the world, have come together for An International Affair (AIA).
